Hiatus

Hi bookworms,

It’s been a while since I blogged anything. There’s a reason for that. I have been contemplating things in general and it came to me that I started this blog with the intention of sharing things I found interesting. Not just talk about books. I got back into avid reading after a depressive period in my life. It wasn’t that I wasn’t reading, I have always read but I started reading with intent after I started this blog. It was meant to be a fun outlet, a sort of journalling where I could talk about things I found interesting. It never happened that way, things rarely go all the way according to plans for me anyway.

I was happy enough to just talk about books and make books the sole interest of this blog but in doing that, I restricted myself to just books. Books, however brilliant they are, are not the only thing I wanted to talk about though. I did that to myself by hyper-focusing on books and it has slowly but clearly affected me over time. So, I would like to think that I would come back to this blog with a fresh perspective and a better way of showcasing what I actually want.

All this is to say that I am taking a break from this blog and all things bookish for a while. I am hoping that I’ll come back to it after the year ends with a new look and new ideas but I don’t want to make promises I might not be able to keep. So, that’s that. For now, this blog is on hiatus. There are two reviews that are long overdue and I will be posting them next month but that’s going to be the only activity this blog will see. I will be reading and I will be active on Twitter and Instagram through stories and such for general updates if you are into that.

Till the next time.
