Hello, I live!
This year hasn’t been greatest for this blog and in general, my reading but I have still managed to read quite a few books that I have loved. So, it’s always a win for me when that happens. Now, I still have a few books I want to finish reading before the year ends. The list is truly ambitious and it’s very unlikely that I might finish reading them because well, none of these books are what one would call a light read. So, to balance them out, I am adding a few impulse reads as variety. These will not be listed here because the whole point of impulse reads is that you them impulsively and cannot be plan for them.
Following are some books I am really, really wishing to read before the year ends, they are chonky books though no guarantee on me actually accomplishing my goal. The way this year has gone for me, I will take any wins I get at this point. So I am not gonna be super strict with myself. Reading is supposed to be fun and all that.

Oathbringer : Part Two by Brandon Sanderson
Since I have the UK editions of the Stormlight Archive, the books are split into two parts for every part except Rhythm of War. I am currently reading this and about 200 pages in so I am fairly confident in my ability to finish this one. I have been loving this series so much! I practically inhaled Words of Radiance and I am hoping that I will do the same with this one too.
Dawnshard by Brandon Sanderson
This is the novella between Oathbringer and Rhythm of War and I am fairly sure that I can finish this one without any difficulties. So, yay for that. I don’t think it’s very long, maybe 200 pages? I have it on my Kindle and I haven’t checked anything about it because I don’t want to be spoiled in case there are any spoilers for Oathbringer.
Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson
This is another big book. I always seem to end up with chonky books and I set up my end of the year goals with those books. What is wrong with me? In any case, my goal is to get caught up with Stormlight Archive so that with the new year, I can focus on other series that are on my tbr. I started this series simply because I was missing Sanderson books and once I started, I couldn’t stop myself from reading the next one and so on. What can you do?
The Mask of Mirrors by M. A. Carrick
This will be re-read for the sequel that I am hoping to get to soon. I am not sure if I am in the mood for it but frankly, I have certain obligations with this one. So most likely, this one will be read in a timely manner. I really enjoyed this one so let’s see if I get to experience that again.
The Liar’s Knot by M. A. Carrick
I have this one on my Kindle thanks of NetGalley and Orbit Books UK. Seriously, Orbit has been so kind to me lately, I wish they will keep on being kind to me forever.

Now, we come to the maybe of the list. These books are just there in case I finish the above books by some heavenly miracle. What am I even thinking right now? What’s wrong with me?
Oh, well, here we go!

The Black Magicians trilogy by Trudi Canavan
I started the first book and being the mood reader that I am, I kept it on my goodreads long after the mood had left me. So, I wanna pick it up and finish the first book if not the entire trilogy. I don’t wanna face myself on Janaury if I don’t manage this. (Come and watch me in the future to watch me eat my words, I guess, if you are into that.)

And that’s it for my immediate tbr before the year ends. It’s ambitious as hell and I have no faith in myself at the moment to believe that I could actually read this much but! It’s always good to make plans and see if you can follow through them. What about you? Any books or series you have your eyes on? Some books you want to read before the year ends?
