Book haul

Bookworms!

It has been a while since I did a book haul, isn’t it? Then again, I haven’t really bought a huge number of books per month to have separate posts for this anyway. So, these are the books I bought in the months of August, September and October. They seem a lot but they were staggered so they weren’t that many, at least, I think so. Once again, I will likely do another haul when I feel like I have enough to actually show them off. I still do monthly book haul-ish posts over on my IG though so if you are into that, please, check it out.

The Rainwild Chronicles by Robin Hobb

Now, the first two set of books is just common sense. I am planning on continuing with the Realm of Elderlings series and I needed all the books on my shelves because….just because. The Rain Wild Chronicles as well as The Fitz and the Fool trilogy were the only ones left to acquire from the main series, there’s still two novellas-ish books that I need to buy but I can wait for them. I have a long way to go with this series and considering how much I love Robin Hobb’s writing despite her best efforts to break my heart beyond repair, this will not be a hard journey.

She Who Became the Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan

When I read the e-ARC of She Who Became the Sun, I knew I had to have this book in physical form as well because my goodness, this is a book you need on your physical shelf and not just on your kindle. I loved this book and can’t wait for the sequel. So yes, this one was a no-brainer. Dune was a long time coming, it was way overdue. I had been meaning to read Dune since 2011? 2012? Yeah. It’s been that long, I got this at a really good deal and couldn’t pass it up so, this was part of my birthday haul. Keeper of the Lost Cities is Middle-grade series I haven’t been able to catch up on but I will definitely be doing so next year. So, in anticipation of that, I bought the second last book out so far in the series. I still have one more book to buy but I will do so maybe next month or in December, I haven’t quite decided yet. The Silmarillion (the illustrated edition) was another birthday gift to myself because I needed that edition although I actually wanted the blue one but that went out of stock for so long that I settled with this one. If that one ever comes back in stock, I might actually buy that one as well. Who really knows?

Dune by Frank Herbert

Legacy (Keeper of the Lost Cities 8) by Shannon Messenger

Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson

Demon in White by Christopher Ruocchio

Rhythm of War was another natural choice. I finally started my Stormlight Archive journey and I am hoping to read finish all the books by the end of the year. I have the first two books and now this one, the only left is Oathbringer which is on its way. So that one will be in the next book haul. Demon in White is the only book that I hadn’t bought of the Sun Eater series and I am also planning to marathon them next year, there’s a novella in between the first and second one but I am not sure whether I will buy the physical copy or the digital one. We’ll see, I guess.

That’s it for the book haul so far. Here’s to hoping I love all of them in form or another. Anyway, any books that catch your fancy from this book haul? Have you read any of them? If so, please, tell me only good things for now. No, seriously, I just don’t want regrets even before I read the books, okay?
