WWW Wednesday

Hello bookworms!!!

It’s almost the end of the year, can you believe it? Also yay for the long weekend coming up!

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

The Dragon Republic by R. F. Kuang

I started this on Monday? I think and I am not very far into the book. So, I don’t really have any solid thoughts on this one quite yet. I have faith in R. F. Kuang to break my heart though. So there’s that.

天官赐福, Tiān Guān Cì Fú (Heaven’s Official Blessing) by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu

I am about 30% done with this one? I am taking it slow because I am reading this during my work hours, so a little bit here and there is all I am allowing myself. This is not quite a priority read at the moment. However, that’s not to say I am not enjoying it because I am! The yearning, the characters feeling emotions, the interactions. Ugh.

Recently Finished

The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang

Oh, boy. As predicted and as has been said by far too many people, this book is something else. A different kind of fantasy that managed to hook me till the end. I am not generally a reader of war time fantasy, there’s always a quest and the protagonists are trying to reach the end goal. With this one, there’s so much happening. From school setting to war and everything in between. An in-depth review to come soon-ish.

Reading Next

The Burning God by R. F. Kuang

I hope I am not wrong in writing this but I want to finish The Dragon Republic by this weekend or maybe early next week and get started on this one. Let’s see how that goes.

And that’s it for this week. Have you read any of the books yet? If so, which one is it and did you like it? Also are any of these on your tbr if you haven’t read them yet? Tell me all about it in the comments below! Also don’t forget to tell me what you are currently reading!
