I am back to reading after finishing off a novella. So yay for that. Of course, in my usual fashion of overdoing things, I am currently overbooked, shall we say?
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang
I am finally reading this book and I am about 200 pages in and I have a few impressions so far. I am sure that there’s so much more that’s gonna happen that might change my impressions but here they are. Rin is a frustrating character but one I am still rooting for. Jiang is an interesting character and I can’t wait to know more about him and Kitay seems like someone I would want to hug and squish to death.
天官赐福, Tiān Guān Cì Fú (Heaven’s Official Blessing) by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
So, this was totally unexpected. I wasn’t expecting to pick it up yet but here we go. Oh, well. In any case, I am enjoying it. I watched the donghua (Chinese animated shows) and now I am all caught up so I can read the rest of the book and only anticipate the next episodes.
Korea: A Very Short Introduction by Michael J. Seth
It was a really short introduction, the author did not lie on that front. A mere four and half hour audiobook and the author tried to cram everything in this one and did it pretty well, I have to admit. If one only wants to skim through the Korean history then this is the book for you but it only made me more interested in Korean history more so now I am on the lookout for an exhaustive book that covers the events more thoroughly.
The Dragon Republic by R. F. Kuang
I am hoping that by next week, I will have some progress on this front, at least. I am hoping that I love this series as much as everyone else because please, I want to love this so much.
And that’s it for this week. Have you read any of the books yet? If so, which one is it and did you like it? Also are any of these on your tbr if you haven’t read them yet? Tell me all about it in the comments below! Also don’t forget to tell me what you are currently reading!
