Hello bookworms!!!

I finished two books during the last week and I am very happy with myself. I also watched quite a lot of bite sized mini series over the weekend. I also met up with my friends after 6-7 months, it was so good!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

The Great Hunt by Robert Jordan

I started the second book in the Wheel of Time series and I am only about 100 pages in? I have no idea what to expect at the moment but let’s just say that I am enjoying it!

Recently Finished

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong

I did not think I would enjoy a Romeo & Juliet retelling this much but there you go! Thank you, Chloe Gong for making me actually like the main characters despite them having quite a few flaws. I really really enjoyed it and I am hoping I get to read the next book soon! I need to know what happens next!

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

In some ways, I was not prepared for this book. I had heard that there’s gore but I simply wasn’t expecting it to be this much. However! I did like the book! I will say though that it took me a while to actually care about Yale and its societies and why I should be caring about the mess that these people were creating. Oh, well. It’s not a bad book, I just didn’t feel too strongly about it the way I hoped I would.

The Black Tides of Heaven by J. Y. Yang

I picked this one up on a whim and it turned out to be so good! I really loved the concept and the characters. The writing is what made this a super fast read. I read it one sitting and loved every moment of it. The concept of children remaining non-binary till they decide what they want to be at a confirmation ceremony was great to read. I loved, loved, loved that concept.

To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini

But Ashwini, aren’t there so many backlist books on your tbr? Why aren’t you giving them love too?! I just feel like reading something science fiction and that’s the one I have my eye on right now. *shrugs in guilt*

+++++

And that’s it for this week. Have you read any of the books yet? If so, which one is it and did you like it? Also are any of these on your tbr if you haven’t read them yet? Tell me all about it in the comments below! Also don’t forget to tell me what you are currently reading!
