Readers,
September was great! Books are being delivered and I couldn’t be happier. So, let’s hope things become better and better in the coming months and life can go back to being okay-ish.
I have a bunch of books to talk about so let’s get into it without any further delay, shall we?
The Dragon Republic by R. F. Kuang
The Dragon Reborn by Robert Jordan
The Shadow Rising by Robert Jordan
The Golden Fool by Robin Hobb
To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini
Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell
In my seemingly never ending quest to find more books in the Realm of Elderlings, I have found another book. After trying to get Mad Ship shipped to me, and failing multiple times, I decided to settle for the ones that I can actually get. So The Golden Fool was the one that came home. I am thinking of getting an ebook of The Mad Ship for now while I search this earth for this apparently very rare book. So I can actually get to reading the Liveship Traders trilogy.
I am planning to read The Great Hunt in October so I thought to be safe and bought the next couple of books in the series. I like long, meandering series and I feel like The Wheel of Time is certainly that. So, The Dragon Reborn and The Shadow Rising are home, I will definitely start my journey in this series again.
As for The Dragon Republic, it was an obvious choice, wasn’t it? I mean, I also hope to read The Poppy War and I needed the next book handy if I needed to read the next book immediately. I do feel that I might have to settle for the ebook of the third book because I clearly can’t have the paperback edition of The Burning God so soon.
Hamnet was actually part of the book box, it was the Shakespeare box from BooksnBeyond. I really had been eyeing that box update like it would vanish. I booked it back in February? Or was it March? I have lost all sense of time as a concept now so I can’t be sure. They have some truly brilliant books and merch to offer so do check them out if you are interested!
To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christoper Paolini was a pre-order and it did arrive pretty quickly after it released in India and I am so glad! I had to get it because I have to check out Paolini’s adult works! It’s also science fiction so it is up my alley of interests and the synopsis sounds so good! I have heard pretty good things about it, so I pre-ordered it as soon as I could.
And that’s it for this month. I do have a few ebooks that I bought recently but they might come up in the reviews, hopefully. Who really knows though? Considering my recent record of keeping up with the blog.
Till the next time!
I loved Hamnet. I hope you do too.
