WWW Wednesday

Hello bookworms!!!

It’s just mid-month and I am afraid to put it out in the world but it’s been going well as far as reading is concerned. I am enjoying my books and all is well there. (I have already jinxed it, haven’t I? Ugh!)

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

Earthlings by Sayaka Murata

I got approved for this one!!!! It sounded quirky and I feel like it could be super weird too so I requested it on NetGalley and got approved. Just started and don’t have enough to form an opinion yet. So, let’s see how that goes.

The Black Prism by Brent Weeks

I am gonna finish this book, damnit! I re-started this book because I feel like this series could be binged upon if done in the correct mood and I am in the mood for epic fantasy so let’s see how it goes. I must say that Robin Hobb’s books are also beckoning me but I am waiting till I get the middle book of the Liveship Traders. I want to read that in a physical format, I am being stubborn but who cares?

Recently Finished

Never Die by Rob J. Hayes

For the SelfPubFanMonth, I have read two books so far and I have to say that I really loved this one. The review will, hopefully, be up soon but let me just give you an elevator pitch. A badass warrior with hidden depths, a little boy who made a deal with death and a quest, what more do you need? More, you say, well, it’s has shinigami, a bit magic and a ton of awesome side characters!

Vengeance of Hope by P. J. Berman

Another one for the SelfPubFanMonth, I suppose. This is a book for you if you like a book set in the middle ages with characters scheming like it’s going out of business and a few strong women who are seriously better than the world they are living in. The world they live in isn’t kind and Berman doesn’t shy away from that. I enjoyed it but perhaps not as much as I hoped to. Review will be coming up soon on the blog!

The Thousand Deaths of Ardor Benn by Tyler Whitesides

Okay, I thoroughly enjoyed this one, it has great friendships, great characters and it is genuinely funny and has a great heist. There’s a hard magic system which has a hilarious roots (depending on your humour, I guess) and it’s just a great ride, okay? I am so glad I got approved for this one on NetGalley.

Reading Next

Who Knows? I sure don’t.

No seriously, I have no idea what I will read next. It depends on whether I finish The Black Prism or not. If I do then I will probably pick up the next book in the series, if not, then who really knows?

+++++

And that’s it for this week. Have you read any of the books yet? If so, which one is it and did you like it? Also are any of these on your tbr if you haven’t read them yet? Tell me all about it in the comments below! Also don’t forget to tell me what you are currently reading!
