Hello bookworms!!!

I read a couple of books since last week and I am so glad that I liked them enough to have new books to talk about. It’s been a slow journey this year, hasn’t it? As far as books are concerned. I am trying not to let it bother me and it’s been working out well enough.

Currently Reading

Empire of Sand by Tasha Suri

I haven’t read enough to have any opinion on it yet. I am perhaps 50 pages in but I am super excited to read more of this because I can already see some political intrigue and some family drama. So, yeah, hopefully, I will be finishing this one soon.

Velocity Weapon by Megan E. O’Keefe

Finally started this and I am about 20 percent in and I am reminded again why I absolutely enjoyed this book. It’s a wild ride and I am loving every second of it. The fact that it is also fast paced and action packed really helps me with the reading pace.

Recently Finished

Miss Benson’s Beetle by Rachel Joyce

This was such a different read for me, I enjoyed it a lot. I guess this is historical fiction. Yeah. Yeah. It is. I loved the characters and the tone of the book. It was very engaging, think of it as a magical/whimsical adventure during the 1950s. It has women trying to their best to being their best and I just loved that, okay?  

House of Salt and Sorrow by Erin. A. Craig

I think it has such a great atmospheric writing. Luckily, it was raining quite heavily when I read it so that really helped too! It has haunting, it has magic, it has some truly great sibling relationships (with all its ups and downs) and it’s just overall a wild read once you are past the halfway point.

Reading Next

Chaos Vector by Megan E. O’Keefe

I am hoping that I will finish the first book and move onto the next book by next week, at least. I am long overdue a review for this one, I think and I feel  so guilty for not having read it in time.
