Hello readers!!!

Taking a leaf out of Sofii from Sofii @ A. Book. A. Thought, I decided to share some of my longest books in my physical TBR as well. I have been buying books for a long time and ever since I joined bookstagram and started blogging here, my list of books to buy has ever increased in size. So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I have quite a few books on this list.

I am however trying my best not to make this list unnecessarily long. So, I will only include books that are at least 600 and upwords. That way, I don’t list every big book in my physical TBR. That would be too long a list and I would feel worse than I already do for not having read those books.

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara

737 pages

This one has forever intimidated me because of the sheer heartbreak it brings to people. I am determined to read it this year though, so let’s see how that goes. It’s a bit of a Mt. Everest moment for me as far as emotional journeys are concerned. So. Yeah.

The Great Hunt (The Wheel of Time #2) by Robert Jordan

Well, I might have just started this series but the books have been sitting on my shelves for a while. I am so glad that I finally picked up the first book though because now I can’t wait to read the second one so the changes of me picking this one up are very high.

His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman

I did start a re-read last year but somehow it just never worked out. (Somehow. As if I don’t know why it didn’t end up being read already. Mood reading, my friends, is not a pretty thing to have sometimes. ) In any case, this one remains unread. The first time I read this trilogy, I borrowed the books from the library and well, now that I own a copy, I wanted to read it too. Let’s see when that actually happens.

Way of Kings (Stormlight Archive #1) by Brandon Sanderson

1000+ pages

I have the split-into-two-books edition so together they make 1000+ pages and since it’s still one book, I counting it. I am kinda afraid to start Stormlight Archive if I am being honest but let’s see when I actually pick up the series.

Ship of Magic (Liveship Traders #1) by Robin Hobb

880 pages

I finally started my journey into the Realm of Elderlings with the Farseer trilogy and now I have also acquired the next book in the next trilogy. This one is not about Fitz or the Fool but it is still very much set in the same world as the first trilogy. So, I can’t wait to read it. I absolutely loved the Farseer trilogy and I am wondering if I should read it again and then start this one.

Arcanum Unbound by Brandon Sanderson

This one is gonna be unread till I read Stormlight Archive as I have heard there are some spoilers in there? I am not sure but I don’t want to risk it. So, yeah, till I conquer that bit of Sanderson TBR, this one ain’t gonna be read. That’s just how it is sometimes.

The Black Prism (Lightbringer #1) by Brent Weeks

735 pages

This is a series I am hoping to at least start reading and be in the middle of by the year’s end. So, cross your fingers for me, guys. The following couple books are from the series and even though I don’t think they should be on this list, they are gonna be because they are on my physical TBR, after all.

The Blinding Knife (Lightbringer #2) by Brent Weeks

755 pages

Yeah, this intimidating me but at least it’s only five books and well, let’s be honest, I am hoping that I might be able to read at least two books in the series. So…yeah.

The Broken Eye (Lightbringer #3) by Brent Weeks

866 pages

Oh, boy, this page count keeps going up for this series. Here’s to hoping that I manage to finish the series soon because the only thing I don’t have is the last book and I have a feeling that would add at least 700/800 pages again but I am waiting for the paperback edition.

The Blood Mirror (Lightbringer #4) by Brent Weeks

650 pages

This is the last one from this series, I swear! At 650 pages, this is the lowest page count for the series, I think.  So, there’s that comfort.

Lodestar (Keeper of the Lost Cities #5) by Shannon Messenger

676 pages

This is the fifth book in this middle grade fantasy series. I have to admit that I really should get back into this series again because whenever I have read it, I have loved it with all my heart. So, yeah, this has a great chance of being read. So yay for that!

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke

1006 pages

So, this tome has been sitting for a while now and I have been waiting to be in the mood for it. I haven’t yet reached that mood but I am hoping to read it soon. I also feel like this is the sort of book that needs to be read slowly and I feel comfortable picking it up in near future. But who really knows with me.

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

864 pages

And yes, how could I forget about this one! I even started and reached about a couple of hundred pages before I kinda lost interest and was in a mood for something fantasy. Things happened; I ended up reading fantasy and never got back to this one. So, this one is forever taunting me from the bookshelf, it feels like.

Also, honestly, this new editor really made me madder than I have been on this blog before. I am just ready to tear out my hair, throw the pc out my window, beat WordPress to a pulp, take your pick. It’s all three. Seriously, I am trying to adjust but it makes life harder than it has to be okay?

In any case, any tomes in your TBR that you hope to conquer or just sit and stare at them and hope that they don’t taunt you everyday? (Not that it’s happening to me, you understand?
