Hello bookworms!!!
Last week was good and funnily enough, this week is also pretty good so far. So yay for that. I have also surprised myself again by reading more than I expected!

Currently Reading
Tennis Lessons by Susannah Dickey
I have just started this one and I am simply not far enough in it to have an opinion. It does sound pretty interesting though so there’s that. I have no idea what genre this book belongs to because it’s a coming of age kinda of book but not quite YA?
Date Me, Bryson Keller by Kevin van Whye
I am about halfway through this one and I am really enjoying it. It’s YA and LGBTQ, it’s cute and fun and that’s all I need right now, to be perfectly honest.

Recently Finished
The Empire of Gold by S. A. Chakraborty
Oh, boy. This concluding novel was a very satisfying read, I cried, I laughed and I am happy that it ended where it did. There were a few moments where I had some doubts about a few characters’ arc and frankly, survival chances of those characters as well. But! It ended as well as it possibly have.
Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin
This was my first time reading Baldwin and my first Pride month read as well. It was written so well and in less than 200 pages, the author conveyed so many themes. Why didn’t I read this author’s books before? Gosh!
The House in the Cerulean Sea by T. J. Klune
I devoured this book between Monday night and Tuesday evening, I couldn’t stop reading. It’s just so good and such a wholesome book. As I said on Goodsreads, it’s a warm hug in book form.

Reading Next
Sin Eater by Megan Campisi
I have had this ARC for a while now and I can’t wait to dig into it! It’s historical fiction wherein a woman hears the sins of the dying, eats their sins as a ritual and then guarantees their entrance to heavens. Doesn’t that sound amazing?

And that’s it for this week. Have you read any of the books yet? If so, which one is it and did you like it? Also are any of these on your tbr if you haven’t read them yet? Tell me all about it in the comments below! Also don’t forget to tell me what you are currently reading!
