Hello bookworms!!!

I have spent a bit more money than I thought I would on books so there’s that for an update of the week so far. I mean, this time I am really hoping to restrain myself from going crazy but them books, man, they just keep popping out with awesome ideas and gorgeous covers. How am I supposed to stop myself? (No, I really want to know, please, gimme tips.)

Currently Reading

The Kingdom of Gods by N. K. Jemisin

Yes!!! I am finally reading this one. I have enjoyed this trilogy for a while but I hope to finish it this month. It stretched far more than I should have let it. Oh, well. I am about fifty pages in this one and the journey has been something else so far.

You People by Nikita Lalwani

Literally just started this today so I have nothing much to say apart from the fact that it sounds super interesting and I have an e-ARC of this one. So yay!

Recently Finished

The Broken Kingdoms by N. K. Jemisin

After dragging it for so long as far as reading is concerned, I finally finished it over the weekend but I have to admit that there are certain parts that I liked better than the first one but somewhere this one felt a bit flatter than the first one as well. *shrug emoji*

Sixteenth Watch by Myke Cole

This was such a fast read for me (considering my recent speed, that is). I finished this one over the weekend as well and it was enjoyable and though military scifi isn’t generally something I would choose, I was gravitated towards it anyway. It was a good, solid read.

The Dutch House by Ann Patchett

With the Women’s Prize longlist out, I should probably read the one book I do have in possession from the list. I also have a few others I have my eye on but I am broke so not even going to think of it right now.
