WWW Wednesday

Hello bookworms!!!

It’s the new year already!! Happy New Year!!!! Woohoo! As the new year starts with a Wednesday, the first ever WWW Wednesday for 2020 is the very first post on the blog to greet the new year. So yay for that!

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

+++++

Currently Reading

The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

I read The Night Circus and thought it was such a magical tale and it couldn’t get better than this as far as this author is concerned. I was so wrong, The Starless Sea is somehow so much more than The Night Circus and something more to my tastes. I don’t quite know what it is yet but I am hoping I will have a better way of phrasing it by the time I actually review it.

The Uninhabitable Earth: Life After Warming by David Wallace- Wells

This book is absolutely relentless in its goal of trying to not caution us about the climate change but more, hammer in the fact that it’s happening and it’s very likely worse than we have been thinking it is. Yeah, it’s a cheery read. If I am being honest I can’t read more than twenty pages at a time because it’s just so depressing.

Recently Finished

Lirael by Garth Nix

This second installment in the Abhorsen trilogy absolutely did not suffer the middle book syndrome, if anything, it was better than Sabriel. I absolutely loved the exploration of the library and the magic system and the Disreputable Dog. The main character herself was so well written too! In shore, I can’t wait to read Abhorsen next week or maybe during the coming weekend.

Reading Next

The Mercies by Kiran Millwood Hargrave

I have an arc of this and I couldn’t be more excited! This, I think, could be a good winter read and hopefully, I will get to it soon! It’s still here because the publishing date is looming closer by the day. So I am hoping to read it as soon as possible.

+++++

And that’s it for this week! Have you read any of the books yet? If so, which one is it and did you like it? Also are any of these on your tbr if you haven’t read them yet? Tell me all about it in the comments below! Also don’t forget to tell me what you are currently reading!

    1. Lirael was amazing and Starless Sea is just plain brilliant. I think I really love the way the author presents her story because I fell in love with the writing in The Night Circus too
