Hello readers!

It’s that time of the year again, I don’t mean Christmas by the way. It’s nearing the end of the year and that means, I bring my best and not-so-best reads to you. For this one, it’s the most disappointing reads of the year so far. I have had a few books that weren’t for me for many reasons and well, I thought let’s see if anyone else has the same reaction.

Now, I am aware that there are some books which some people really loved and were perhaps a bit more anticipated than most but this rating is by me for me so if you see a favourite there, don’t be sad. We are all different people with different tastes.

I am also not going to be doing a deep analysis of why these books fell short for me because that’s not what this is, if it were, it would take me hours to write it. It’s just a simple list because these books might not have been for me but I am sure some people did love them or like them and it’s not the month to be salty about those things, right?

For The Sake of Love by Anamika Mishra

Hope, Tears, Steam, Gears by Gregory L. Norris

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

Cala by Laura Legge

The Penelopiad by Margaret Atwood

When the Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore

Shelf Life by Livia Franchini

Find Me Falling by Fiona Vigo Marshall

Hazards of Time Travel by Joyce Carol Oates

So, these are the books that disappointed me the most and while I have included some books/authors that do have quite a bit of following and adoring fans, do keep in mind that these book were disappointing to me and none of it reflects on you and your reading tastes.

I have another list of disappointing books which also features some of the books and some are not here because guess what? I found something that was more disappointing than them. I am not sure how to feel about that yet.

Have you read the books mentioned above? If yes, what are your ratings and why? If not, do you have any plans to read them in the future?

I have only read one book on here and it was Cassandra Clare’s book. I have to agree with you. It was a huge disappointment. I don’t enjoy her stuff at all and I tried 4 or 5 books.
