WWW Wednesday

Hello bookworms!!!

Look at me, properly following through on my promises/hopes! Aren’t I getting better at this thing? (Say yes because I desperately want to hear that) But, yeah, here’s the second installment of the WWW Wednesday!!!

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

+++++

Currently Reading

Sapiens:A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari

This book had been on my shelf for months and I am so glad I finally started reading this because it’s good. It’s not dry at all as I fear of every non-fiction book I come across. It’s written so well and I am about 100+ pages in and have learned so much already!

The Martian by Andy Weir

Ok, I have no idea why this book shows as read in my GoodReads because I haven’t managed to read even the proper synopsis of this one before this month. I have watched the movie, of course and loved it but the audio book, guys! It’s fantastic and I feel like it’s the only way to enjoy this book. I am about seven chapters in and there’s tons left to listen to!

Recently Finished

Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse

What a fantastic start to a series this was, it was something different and the mythology was so refreshing to read and now it makes wonder why we don’t have more Native American mythology books out there. I am aware that I haven’t even dipped into its water yet so that’s a bold claim on its own but well,  I am making it.

Reading Next

The German House by Annette Hess; Elisabeth Lauffer

This book takes place in a time period that I haven’t read much about and that’s what pulled me in. It’s an e-ARC that I hope to finish reading before it’s publication date of 12th December, 2019! It sounds interesting and I can’t wait to read/learn more about this period in German history. Yes, it is still here.

+++++

And that’s it for this week! Have you read any of the books yet? If so, which one is it and did you like it? Also are any of these on your tbr if you haven’t read them yet? Tell me all about it in the comments below! Also don’t forget to tell me what you are currently reading!

  1. So glad you’re enjoying the Martian, I loved that book so much. I also have trial of lightning on my TBR, but wasn’t aware is was based around Native American mythology… I’ll definitely be bumping it up the list. Great post 😀

    1. Trail of Lightning is based on Native American mythology and it’s pretty great. Haven been able to listen to the audiobook since I made the post but that will change, the weekend couldn’t come soon enough. ☺️
