Book Haul- November

Hello, fellow bookworms!!

Considering that I spent October buying up books on the excuse that it was my birthday, I tried to rein myself in this month and the result is not that I didn’t buy any books but that I hardly bought anything too expensive or too many books.

That’s a good thing in my case, so there you have it. I don’t have a ton of books to show you but hopefully, the quality always makes up for quantity in this scenario. (Not that that means that the less number of books the better because that will never happen with me. I am hoarder.)

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

The Thief by Megan Whaler Turner

A fantasy world very much like ancient Greece? Then that series is being praised by anyone who’s read it? Heck yes, I knew I had to give it a chance. So I finally bought it!!! I am hoping that I get addicted to this one just like all the other series!

Vengeance of Hope by P. J. Bernam

So, I will admit that I didn’t know this book existed till the author himself asked if I wanted to read the book. I read the summary and I was very interested and he was kind enough to send a copy over to me. I hope to read the book next month. *fingers crossed*

The Unwomanly Face of War by Svetlana Alexievich

So I have been eyeing this one for months! Actually, I think it must have been over a year since I came across this one and well, I am finally giving into my urge to read it. I mean, one step closer. So that counts. Right?

The Complete Cosmicomics by Italo Calvino

So, I will admit that I have wanted to read something by Calvino since forever so when I saw a good deal for this one, I just grabbed this one and didn’t let go. Also, it doesn’t hurt that it sounds just quirky enough and fun enough that I would enjoy it. Here’s to hoping that I love the writing as well. I have heard too many good things about this author.

So that’s it for the books bought this month. Have you read any of the books? If yes, then, what are your thoughts on them? If not then after reading the blurbs, would you want to? Also, what was the last book you bought? Tell me all about it in the comments below.
