So, ever heard of a phrase, ‘I like big books and I cannot lie.’ Of course, you have and to make that statement even more relatable, there comes a time during the year where people read the tomes they have on tbr and conquer them like kings and queens and rulers.
And that’s what I am trying to do as well for this TomeTopple. All the information is here!
So for this edition of the TomeTopple I didn’t actually get to decide my books with proper consideration however! However the three books I did settled on seem pretty fantastic!
First up is
Assassin’s Quest by Robin Hobb
I have been devouring the first two books the last two weeks and now, it’s time for the last book in the trilogy. The first book was, I think, around 400 pages and the second one was 656 pages. This one is 848 pages!! Whoa! I did not realise that it was gonna be this long! Oh, well. I have been worried about Fitz and Burrich and Chade and all the others in the series so I am sure I will go about this one at the same pace as the other two books in the trilogy.
Second one is
Lodestar (Keeper of the Lost Cities 5) by Shannon Messenger
Another series that whenever I pick up I end up becoming obsessed about the characters and the plot. Mostly characters though. This one is about 688 pages. So that’s another definite tome that I might get to read.
And last but not the least is…
A Conjuring of Light by V. E. Schwab
A concluding part of the trilogy that I have been meaning to read but haven’t quite managed it quite yet. Oh, well. Even now, I know that I am being too ambitious in picking this one as third option/book because just the first two are over 1500 pages. Still, if I suddenly possess a super power of reading all the things, this one will get read.
So that’s it for my little bit of TomeTopple. It started on 9th November,2019 and will run till 22nd November, 2019. So I have a bit of a time to cover at least one book. I am not super hopeful that I will get to them all but I will try my best to read at least two of them. I will hopefully end up updating my progress throughout the readathon via IG. So keep a lookout for that if you follow me and are at all interested in that sort of thing.
Are you participating in this? Have you heard of this one or not? If you are participating this time then which books have you chosen? If you are not but have done so in the past then which books did you end up reading?
Questions, questions! But then we know that I am very nosy when it comes to reading and people’s choices and opinions. So that shouldn’t give you a pause when pondering about the answers.
Till the next time, lovelies.
