WWW Wednesday

Hello bookworms!!!

Look at me, properly following through on my promises/hopes! Aren’t I getting better at this thing? (Say yes because I desperately want to hear that) But, yeah, here’s the second installment of the WWW Wednesday!!!

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

+++++

Currently Reading

Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb

Currently, this trilogy is taking up all my time reading-wise. I am kinda obsessed and not able to read anything else. So yeah. I am already 40% done with the book and trust me, apart from one thing in Fitz’s life, I am absolutely loving it. The writing is just so good and engaging, it’s hard to let go of the book when I have to go to work. Because of this, this is my commute book and my home reading book as well. Yeah. I know.

Recently Finished

Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb

Gosh, I just wasn’t prepared for the absolute brilliance of this one. Before this I was on the verge of reading slump, especially for fantasy but Tolkien revived me and then Hobb managed to drag me out to the absolutely safe zone because I just got so interested and invested in what was going to happen to Fitz and Verity and Kettricken that I was almost sad to see the book end.

Dead Voices by Katherine Arden

Oooh, this one was good too! Once again it created hunger where there was none previously but that’s fine. I guess, that’s how it will be with this series. In any case, this was a great read and just a delight to read. I was creeped out by some things and for a younger reader, this is a perfect spooky read without being too spooky?

Reading Next

Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse

I do have an e-ARC of this one and it’s releasing in the UK on 28 November so I am thinking of picking it up. It’s Native American mythology? Of course, I want to read more because rarely do I see it anywhere in the bookish sphere. Hopefully, this weekend when I can get some more reading done other than the Farseer trilogy.

+++++

And that’s it for this week! Have you read any of the books yet? If so, which one is it and did you like it? Also are any of these on your tbr if you haven’t read them yet? Tell me all about it in the comments below! Also don’t forget to tell me what you are currently reading!
