WWW Wednesday

Hello bookworms!!!

Look at me, properly following through on my promises/hopes! Aren’t I getting better at this thing? (Say yes because I desperately want to hear that) But, yeah, here’s the second installment of the WWW Wednesday!!!

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

+++++

Currently Reading

Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb

So, I am finally starting something by Robin Hobb and I have to admit that I made a mistake by not doing this sooner. It’s such an easy read and yet, there’s so much to take in. I love the world Hobb has created and I can’t wait to read more of her works. Seriously, I am not even halfway through yet but yeah. I am already in love and gosh, do I feel bad for Fitz.

Dead Voices by Katherine Arden

So, I am about more than halfway through the book and I am really enjoying it. Katherine Arden just has a way about words and language that makes it so easy to fall for her books. No, seriously. Just read her books and find out.

Recently Finished

Leaf by Niggle by J. R. R. Tolkien

This was such an odd tale but one that really revived my reading, if I am being honest. I just wasn’t able to read anything for the last few days but then I read this and then it was as if I was invigorated. It was a  pleasure to read this one and the afterward by Tom Shippey was a wonderful surprise.

The Test by Sylvain Neuvel

So, last year I fell in love with Sylvain Neuvel’s writing and this year, I knew I had to read this one when it came out. So I read it on the same day as I read Leaf by Niggle. Oh god. This was something else. I was not expecting the things that happened in this one. I went in completely blind and boy, that did not help, I think. I just wasn’t prepared for the things that happened in this book. I don’t mean that in a bad way, of course. It was a great read!

Reading Next

Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse

I do have an e-ARC of this one and it’s releasing in the UK on 28 November so I am thinking of picking it up. It’s Native American mythology? Of course, I want to read more because rarely do I see it anywhere in the bookish sphere.

+++++

And that’s it for this week! Have you read any of the books yet? If so, which one is it and did you like it? Also are any of these on your tbr if you haven’t read them yet? Tell me all about it in the comments below! Also don’t forget to tell me what you are currently reading!
