Currently Reading

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

Still reading this one and I am taking my time with it because I don’t think I can rush this one. I am really enjoying it so far. Though!! I am about 225 pages into the book and I have ways to go before I reach the end.

The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell

Just started this one yesterday, not many pages into it yet to have a good idea of the writing or the story but so far, so good. A Gothic mystery with some paranormal spookiness in it, just the right read for October, I think.

Recently Finished

Wilder Girls by Rory Power

I have made progress with this one and I am glad to say that I am through!! This is really creepy and there’s a lot of body horror just as I expected. Definitely not a commute read material. Seriously. Just no. Expect more thoughts on this very soon!

The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys

I finally started this one and passed the halfway mark even before Sunday ended and the only thing left is like five percent of the book to finish. I have so many feelings about this one and one thing I must say is that this is very different from Salt to the Sea and I have been afraid of comparing The Fountains of Silence with Salt and I just hope by the time I finish it, I wouldn’t fall prey to that.

This is an e-ARC and it sounds absolutely hilarious and creepy at the same time and I will definitely be getting to this one soon too! A friendly rivalry that becomes something far more dangerous is a vibe I get from the book and here’s to hoping I enjoy it to hell!
