Hello bookworms!!!

Look at me, properly following through on my promises/hopes! Aren’t I getting better at this thing? (Say yes because I desperately want to hear that) But, yeah, here’s the second installment of the WWW Wednesday!!!

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

Something I picked up and put down recently but on Sunday, I was suddenly in the mood for it. So sped through the first seventy pages of it and now, it’s going well, so far. It’s all about loss and paintings and all things that Donna Tartt excels at. So far, I am really enjoying it but it’s a huge book so let’s see what I feel at the end of it.

To Be Taught, If Fortunate by Becky Chambers

So, this novella is my first ever Becky Chambers despite owning her other three books. Oh, well. However I am really enjoying this one because of the way the characters are written, this one is very character heavy instead of being plot heavy and it works wonderfully. Also, Becky Chambers’ writing is so good! I can see why people have raved about her books!

Wilder Girls by Rory Power

So, this one is going slowly because it’s a commute read and my commute takes like twenty minutes tops but I have realised something. This should not have been a commute read, maybe I will finish it over the weekend. I generally choose something contemporary and light for my commute so I am not too invested and feel awful when I have start my work but with this one, I do feel awful putting my phone away.

Recently Finished

The Absolutist by John Boyne

Oh, boy. This one was so good! I wondered if I would like the pacing and the jumps between the past and the present but I loved every part of it and that last twist I did not see coming. Gosh. No wonder, regrets are a part of his life. God. This was the only book I finished recently though.

Reading Next

The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell:

So I might have jumped the gun with this one, I wanted to read something spooky but well, it’s not even October yet so maybe I’ll start this one over the weekend. It’s not gonna be October even then but at least, it’ll be closer to October. Yeah, no, I know. What a shit excuse.

The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys:

Yep. Same thing happened with this one too! Here’s to hoping that I will get to this one sooner than later because it is releasing on October 3rd, right? Yeah.

+++++

And that’s it for this week! Have you read any of the books yet? If so, which one is it and did you like it? Also are any of these on your tbr if you haven’t read them yet? Tell me all about it in the comments below! Also don’t forget to tell me what you are currently reading!
