Book Haul- June

Hello!

Wow! June came in a hurry and then left just as fast! At least that’s what it felt like to me. All my days are sort of merging into one another nowadays. I had completely forgotten what working full time does to time and our perception of it.

But! Let’s not get philosophical for a book haul post. Let’s postpone that for now. So, I know I keep saying that I will try to control myself and keep failing. So here onward, I am just not going to promise anything to like that to myself. It’s just waste of time at this point.  In any case, I am here to talk about the books I bought this month. They are not all here yet because of reasons unknown to me at the moment but expect them in July book haul, I guess.

I technically bought eight books this month but seeing as two of them were pre-orders, I can’t expect them to be here this month. The other two that aren’t here already, I have no idea when they will be shipped (can you sense my frustration?!), so here are the four books that I have actually got for now.

An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

So, this was an indulgent buy, that’s the purest truth. After reading it, I knew I had to have it in physical form as well. Yes, I am one of those people, as if anyone’s surprised at this point. I really, thoroughly enjoyed this one and you can read the review of the book here.

Milk Teeth by Amrita Mahale

Another one of the books I had been eyeing ever since it came out. And no, it’s not just because of it’s cover either. It also has that nostalgia going for me. Then there’s the writing and well, I was sold. I bought and read it this month and really enjoyed even though I do have teeny tiny problems with it. The review will be up soon.

Once Upon a River by Diane Setterfield

Ever since I read the ARC for it, I knew I had to buy it because I really fell in love with it and even though I eyed it for the longest time, it was frankly too expensive to buy but then an offer came that literally gave me the book at less than half the price on shopping websites. So of course, I went and bought it. Though I have to admit that I was expecting the US edition for some reason because it was shown that way on the website but I am not crying about the UK edition either because it’s frankly just as gorgeous but in a different way. You can read the review for this one, right here.

The Glass Woman by Caroline Lea

I am not quite sure where I read about this one but I had been wanting to read it ever since I read the synopsis. It sounded so good and I, once again, got this one for a steal. I am hoping to read it very soon. It’s not a very long book but I am hoping it’s a great one. Plus, the cover is absolutely gorgeous.

So that’s it for the books bought this month, well, apart from the ones that aren’t here yet. I also have some good ARCs which I am hoping to talk about soon. Have you read any of the books? If yes, then, what are your thoughts on them? If not then after reading the blurbs, would you want to? Also, what was the last book you bought? Tell me all about it in the comments below.
