Mini Update

Hello!

So, without me realising it, my blog turned one year old on the first of January! So, yay for that! I can’t believe I have been blogging for a whole year, it sounds ridiculous when I say it out loud but there it is.

So because my blog turned one year old, I thought it was time for a few changes. As you might have already seen, I changed the theme of my blog along with the logo, I am hoping to make more changes on the blog itself but we’ll talk about that later.

I would like to think that I have somewhat improved my book reviewing within the year, well, I am hoping to make it even better. I might make sections of which bits I liked the most or the least and talk a bit more on that. There will be new graphics on the reviews as well because what’s the point of changing the blog theme without making those tiny changes, amirite?

I will not be reviewing every book I read because that’s ridiculous and I have been trying and failing at that. So, expect less reviews but hopefully better constructed ones. I am not letting go of book tags, that is not gonna happen any time soon, I love them too much at this point. So if you were hoping for that, oops?

In terms of reading, I am trying to be more diverse not just in genres but also in representation and I am hoping I will be moderately successful. I have also decided to not post daily on my bookstagram, mostly because I feel too much pressure when I try to do that. I want to enjoy my time here as well as on bookstagram so all that time could be devoted to reading instead, won’t that be fun?

More interaction, I have been trying my best but I haven’t been interacting on other blogs as much as I hoped to. I want to change that as well, so expect (or maybe hope for, who knows what the future holds?) a bit more interaction with other blogs.

There will be no monthly tbr but I will be doing a weekly currently reading as well as books I read this week because that would give you guys a bit more realistic look at what I read and whether I liked what I read. Monthly wrap ups will stay, of course.

I am also hoping to start writing again, I used to do that but somehow that got left behind during the year. I genuinely do love writing so let’s see how that pans out.

And that’s it for now. I know I said a mini update but somehow it turned into a full post. Sorry for that. In any case, here’s to hoping I will have 500 followers by the end of the year.
