A Teeny Tiny Update

Hello lovely people!

If you follow my blog and have been reading my posts then you must have realised that I rather abruptly stopped blogging for a week and that too in a week leading up to the year’s end. I had hinted that I might be dropping posts like they were on fire.

Well, there’s a very valid reason for this break. Last Sunday, my father had to be admitted into a hospital due to acute chest pains which we later learned was an actual severe heart attack. After that, the week was just one large blur of hurrying from home to hospital and getting updates. Midweek he had angiography done which then revealed the need for angioplasty and stent placement.

As you can imagine, it was a draining experience all around and I am still not really out of it but my father’s home and he’s as well as a person can be after having those procedures. I am hoping that his health continues to improve but I am going to be cautious. As much as I wish I could blog, I doubt my heart will be in it. So, the posts from here onward could be sporadic but hopefully, good ones.

The posts in my drafts were finished but just weren’t scheduled however I will try to post them soon. There are at least two posts that will definitely be up before the year’s end but beyond that, we’ll see how it all works out.

The thing is, I haven’t been able to read this week simply because my brain just isn’t there for it. Reading has always been a source of comfort for me in difficult times and I am feeling a bit untethered because of this lack of comfort from this activity. I really needed it this week but I suppose my brain was just wired for something far more normal. Just plain numbness and panic.

So, book reviews could be scarce for a while. I am not even sure what kind of posts will be up here for a while. I am not giving up on the blog, I am not just able to think right now. So, that’s it. That’s the teeny tiny update.

Hope you all had lovely holidays (if you celebrate).
