So I have been feeling really odd about my posts recently, mostly because I am not offering enough variety. I am sure you will agree to that which is why you are going to see yet another book tag here. I am still in the planning stages but you would most likely see a pattern in the coming weeks. Book reviews, tags and maybe some discussion posts (which I have never done, I believe.) could be a regular thing!

However for now, I am doing a tag! IsThatChami originally created this tag and it sounds like super fun so here I am! It’s an interesting tag and I am sure it will reveal some new things about me that I might not have shared before.

HAVE YOU EVER REGIFTED A BOOK YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN?

I doubt I have, I mean, generally, the books I get as gifts are the ones that people know I want so I haven’t had to face this problem yet. Even the ones that I have gotten as gifts that aren’t my usual genre, I read them and keep them.

HAVE YOU EVER SAID YOU’VE READ A BOOK WHEN YOU HAVEN’T?

I think I have? While I was in school, I told my friends that I had read Mrutunjay (a Marathi book) but I hadn’t finished reading it and had already told them how awesome it was. I later finished it because it really was awesome and frustrating in equal measures.

HAVE YOU EVER BORROWED A BOOK AND NOT RETURNED IT?

Umm…yeah. My best friend and I used to swap books all the time and now I am not sure if some of the books I consider mine are hers and vice versa. She moved to a different state after her wedding and we haven’t had a good chance to sort it out but frankly, I don’t mind it because she knows she can get all the books she wants from me and vice versa.

HAVE YOU EVER READ A SERIES OUT OF ORDER?

Haha. Yeah. Harry Potter. Read the third book first and then read it in proper order once I realised that it was a series. Yeah. It was weird but the funny thing is, I don’t remember being too confused about the whole thing. Probably my cousin had explained the bare bones of the plot to me, maybe. I am not quite certain.

HAVE YOU EVER SPOILED A BOOK FOR SOMEONE?

Umm…yeah. The whole Half-Blood Prince ending. I kinda let my sister know about it because at the time I had to share it and I was so sure she wasn’t going to read the books. She hasn’t read the books but listened to them since. Oops?

HAVE YOU EVER DOG EARED A BOOK?

Hell yeah! I didn’t always have bookmarks or even receipts on hand so yes, I did dog ear books, I still do sometimes. I mean, I try to avoid it but sometimes it’s kinda unavoidable. I don’t have a problem with dog earing a book the way some people do but I don’t go out of my way to do that.

HAVE YOU EVER TOLD SOMEONE YOU DON’T OWN A BOOK WHEN YOU DO?

I don’t think so? I mean, generally, I am pretty proud of the fact that I own quite a number of books no matter their rating from me. So, no. I have on occasion forgotten that I didn’t own a book and said that I owned it. Does that count?

HAVE YOU EVER TOLD SOMEONE YOU HAVEN’T READ A BOOK WHEN YOU HAVE?

Nope. Why would I? If it’s a great book then I am ready to gush over it and if it’s a terrible book then I am ready to have a discussion. So, no. I haven’t.

HAVE YOU EVER SKIPPED A CHAPTER OR A SECTION OF A BOOK?

Yes. I definitely have. Some books are just like that sometimes, if the plot is too slow or if the characters are being too boring, so yes. I sometimes do that. I have never missed anything important because of that so far so I don’t mind it.

HAVE YOU EVER BAD MOUTHED A BOOK YOU ACTUALLY LIKED?

Uh….I don’t think so? There are some books that I have a love/ hate relationship with and I am very open about that. However I have never bad mouthed a book I have actually liked. Liking a book is very subjective and there will always be people who like it or dislike it.

And that’s it for now! That’s all the questions answered. If you haven’t done the tag before then feel free to consider yourself tagged by me. I am not sure who has done the tag and who hasn’t and that’s why I am not tagging anyone but everyone! If you wanna talk to me about your guilty reader habits but don’t want to do the tag then tell me in the comments! Always ready for that!

You and your best friend have such a cute relationship! My best friend and I lend each other books, but she’s a Type A person and I always have to return her books in mint condition. I’ve had a handful of friends borrow books from ME and never return them, though. 😂

Yeah, it’s because of our love for books that we became friends. Both of us are introverts, me more than her and it was our families that basically pushed us together and told us ‘you both like books, talk and be friends.’ yeah and this was when we were fifteen and had been neighbors for almost a year. 😂😂

This is such an interesting & fun book tag! I can’t blame you for skipping boring scenes/chapters — I do that too much, haha. Great post! ❤

I mean, sometimes, those few scenes/ chapters are just fillers and nothing much and I am impatient. So, I do that, glad to know I am not alone. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!!
