NetGalley Tag!!

So, as usual, nobody has tagged me but I found the tag to be super fun and decided to do it all by my lonesome. Besides the creator of the tag had left it kinda open for everyone interested so, I am gonna take that as my tag, ok? (Still so new to the whole bookblogging world and so very alone, mostly my fault really. I am an introvert even on the internet, go figure.)

—————————————————————————————————————————–

RULES

  1.  Link back to the tag’s creator: Kourtni at Kourtni Reads.
  2. Thank and link back to the person who tagged you.
  3. Answer the questions the best you can. If you don’t use NetGalley, you can substitute other sites or places where you get books!
  4. Tag a few people to do this too!

AUTO-APPROVED:

WHO’S ONE AUTHOR WHOSE BOOKS YOU AUTOMATICALLY WANT TO READ, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY’RE ABOUT?

I can’t choose one author, that’s just painful and we are not here for that kind of pain, ok? So, I am gonna name a few. Madeline Miller, Rick Riordan, Leigh Bardugo, Maggie Stiefvater, Anthony Doerr, etc.

REQUEST:

WHAT MAKES YOU WANT TO REQUEST A BOOK THAT YOU SEE ON NETGALLEY?

Hmm…I think I generally choose books based on their genre, their synopsis and maybe the authors. There will sometimes be a cover consideration as well but I think I can safely say that the synopsis matters a lot along with the genre itself.

FEEDBACK RATIO:

DO YOU REVIEW EVERY BOOK YOU READ? IF NOT, HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHAT BOOKS TO REVIEW?

I think I have reviewed every book I have gotten from NetGalley except for one and that one, well, I decided not to review that one because the content wasn’t something I signed up for? But as far as NetGalley is concerned, I will review every book I can.

BADGES:

IF YOU COULD CREATE YOUR OWN BADGE TO DISPLAY ON YOUR BLOG, WHAT WOULD IT BE FOR?

Hahahahaha. Well, if I had to create one, it would most probably be ‘No Self Control‘ (whatsoever). However, in the few months since I started there, I have learned a bit of self control. I only have three ARCs that need to be read and reviewed and their release dates aren’t in the near future. So, yay?

WISH FOR IT:

WHAT’S ONE BOOK THAT YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY DYING TO READ?

You are asking about just one book? Are you kidding me? Fine, I guess I can try to narrow it down to just one. (I will whine about it but I will do it.) I would love to read ‘Spinning Silver’, I just recently read ‘Uprooted’ and I am just so in love and in awe of that book! So, I have to have it, ok? I haven’t been approved for it and it’s very unlikely that I will be this far in the game but you can bet your…money that I am gonna buy that one.

2017 NETGALLEY CHALLENGE:

WHAT WAS THE LAST BOOK THAT YOU RECEIVED AS AN ARC THAT YOU REVIEWED? IF YOU’VE NEVER RECEIVED AN ARC, WHAT’S THE LAST BOOK YOU REVIEWED?

My last ARC review would be of ‘Discovery’ by Leslie Schweitzer Miller and you can just click on the name of the novel to read my review! There were two more reviews posted on my blog but these books are already published and well, you can still go and read them, I guess?

It can be overwhelming but I have learned to control what I request and it’s become a far better and enjoyable experience. There’s less pressure to read and it’s really the best if you know your own reading habits, really. Also, yay for online introverts! We would band together if we ever ventured out of our comfort zones!

I am eagerly waiting for the release of the book because as I said, it’s very unlikely that I would get to read it in advance. I was a bit late in requesting as well. Oh, well.

      Thanks for stopping by!

Yeah I think right now I have two pending requests and one to read, I’m resisting the urge to request anything new at the moment.
Have you heard of Book of The Month? I’m pretty sure Spinning Silver is one of their picks for July, might get it a day or two before release.

I have heard of Book of the Month but never thought about trying it out. Maybe I should think about it seriously.

I really like it! You can always skip the month if you don’t like any of the choices and you save a few bucks. Plus sometimes the books are ones that come out later in the month so you get them early!

Oh sorry! I believe right now it’s only US but I heard they’re expanding to international soon, the international shipping probably won’t make it worth it tho 😦

It really is a fun tag and since I am kinda new and super shy, I had to take it on myself otherwise, I would never get to do it!
