Three Months!!

Well, almost.

I started this blog on 1st January and at the time I had no idea as to what I was actually going to do with it. I mean, I had a rough idea, I had creeped around a bit and tried to understand the whole business but frankly, I wasn’t super confident about the whole thing.

I was fired up about it, no doubt but the thing with constant lack of confidence is that most times even though I am doing the thing, I don’t have faith in myself or in the thing to be successful at it. Yeah, I know, it sounds odd and silly. What can you do?

It’s been three months of blogging now and I can’t believe I hesitated doing this for so long! I mean, sure, it’s not easy, trying to gain followers and getting people to notice my content is never gonna be easy but the thing is, I dared. I dared to take that first step towards this thing and it has only made me happy so far. When I finally mustered enough courage to tell my best friend about my blog, she joined up too! And to add to the joy, she told me my writing isn’t terribly bad, in fact, it’s almost ok. (Well, she said it was awesome but I don’t feel comfortable calling my own writing awesome. Sounds very braggy, doesn’t it?)

I started to write more and read even more! I found Goodreads, NetGalley & Edelweiss+, nothing could have made my bookish heart happier. Because of those three things and the wonderful blogs I follow, I got to know more about the books I could read. I have possibly been reading non-stop which sort of makes me giddy? Or maybe it’s the heat, who knows at this point?

I have also been trying my hand at taking photos, nothing fancy, just my phone camera and me trying to take photos. Some of them haven’t been terrible, I guess. If you wanna take a look at them and frown, you can just click here , here and here!

I have recently started to learn a new language! This year has been filled with new experiments working out so far so I thought, why not? I am learning Italian through Duolingo, I also have some books on the language learning. Let’s see how it goes. I am not sure how much it will actually help me were I to speak to an actual Italian person but hey, I could at least try…and frankly, I love languages. Can’t get enough of them. I would like to add a fourth language to my collection.

What else?

Hmm…I think that’s about it! This year, without me actively setting any resolutions, has been great about doing good things so far. Now, if only good things could happen on the job-front. 🙂

Till the next quarter, ciao!
