my writing

moonless

I remember from my childhood the wonder of learning new things

The way every little thing would interest me and I would ask my parents

“What’s this? Why’s that? How come?”

The endless questions and the continuous wonder.

As I started to grow up, I started to lose that curiosity.

I started to take things at face value.

Maybe not everything

But I forgot to ask questions for the important matters.

Between my childhood and my teenage years, something changed.

Something changed enough that I stopped myself from being curious,

from being in awe of the things around me.

I hope I can re-learn the way to be curious, to wonder at the things around me.

And to ask questions.

“What’s this? Why’s that? How come?”
